Naturalization and Citizenship Training

This training will provide an overview of all the legal requirements for naturalization, with in-depth discussion on various topics.
Day 1: A review of the general requirements for naturalization including continuous residence, physical presence, the English and Civics requirements, and the red flag issues that can cause an applicant to be denied or even deported. This will include in-depth discussions on the various ways an absence from the United States can affect one’s naturalization application. In the afternoon, we will cover good moral character with an advanced discussion on crimes and deportability.
Day 2: We will feature two special sessions, Citizenship options for Children and Assisting Special Groups of Applicants, a discussion a fee waivers and disability waivers.
CLE: 8.5 for both days, credit approval pending
