Training Video on Immigration Service Provider Fraud

Expansion of Anti-Fraud Toolkit

Immigration Service Provider Fraud Training Video (14:23)
Video provides an overview of "Ten Year benefit" scam and includes dramatized illustrations ("mock situations") that demonstrate the problems victims face as they navigate the immigration system.

Immigrants and their U.S. citizen family members continue to fall prey to immigration service provider fraud as they seek a path to legal status or naturalization for their loved ones. The ILRC has developed an Anti-Fraud Immigration Service Provider curriculum to help agencies that work with immigrants and their U.S. citizen family members to inform them about immigration service provider fraud. The toolkit also includes a training video which illustrates a very common immigration service provider scam called the "10 Year Benefit." The video and curriculum are meant to work in tandem with the anti-fraud know your rights handouts, comic books, bus signs, district attorney handbook and various anti-fraud materials included on this website. The materials provide information on common immigration provider scams, ways in which immigrants and U.S. citizens can avoid such scams and resources for finding help.
